Know Before You Go - Field Museum

IF YOU REGISTERED FOR THE GALA - YOU CAN CHECK-IN AND PICK UP YOUR WRISTBANDS EARLY to alleviate waiting at the door at the Field Museum. All graduates and guests will be required to wear their wristbands as check-in identifiers at the Gala. You can pick up wristbands for your guests who are registered under your name.

Early Check-in options before the Friday evening Gala:

Option 1 Early Check-in at the Global Hub - Evanston: Visit the front desk at the Student Life Office at the Global Hub (1391) to receive your Grad Gala wristbands for you and your guests for faster entry into the museum.

Global Hub Early Check-In Wristband Pick-up Dates and Times:
Mon-Thursday, June 8 - June 11, 9:00 am to 5 pm
Friday, June 12, 9:00 am to 2:30 pm

Option 2 Early Check-in at Wieboldt - Chicago: Visit the front desk at Wieboldt, 2M to receive your Grad Gala wristbands for you and your guests for faster entry into the museum.

Wieboldt Early Check-In Wristband Pick-up Dates and Times:
Mon-Thurs, June 1 - June 5, 9:00 am to 8 pm
Saturday, June 6, 8:30 am to 4 pm
Mon-Thur, June 8 - 11, 9:00 am to 8 pm

If you are picking up wristbands for a friend/fellow graduate: this is permitted if the student picking them up has an email or text from the other graduate stating that they authorized “XX” student to pick up their wristbands. This communication needs to be emailed to studentlife@kellogg.northwestern.edu. We cannot be responsible for any lost wristbands or miscommunications - WRISTBANDS ARE MANDATORY FOR ENTRY.

All graduates and guests will be required to wear their wristbands as check-in identifiers at the Gala. You can pick up wristbands for your guests who are registered under your name.

Do not lose or misplace your wristband or guests' wristbands - you will not be able to enter the event without a wristband.

You will also be able to receive your wristbands at check-in at the museum.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

  • What time is the Gala?

    The evening will begin at 7:00 pm and end at 9:45 pm.

  • Who can attend the Kellogg Grad Gala?

    Only registered grads and guests aged 21+ are allowed entry to the Gala. Any unregistered guests or underaged friends or family will be turned away. There is no cost for the registrations/tickets for entry. Each guest must have a ticket. Ticket registrations open in Spring Quarter.

    Each registered guest needs a wristband for entry. Wristbands can be picked up during early Check-in dates/times or registered guests can check-in at the museum front entrance and pick up their wristbands. We are not responsible for grads who have lost their wristband or have not given the wristband to their registered guests, or wristbands that have been exchanged.

  • Can we bring alcohol into the Field Museum?

    No alcohol or outside beverages are allowed on the grounds or in the museum. The Field Museum staff will be observing a strict no-tolerance policy. Any guests caught trying to bring in any beverages or narcotics will be escorted out and items will be confiscated.

  • What is the dress code?

    The dress code is evening cocktail attire and black-tie optional. Many guests choose to wear long gowns or cocktail dresses; formal jackets/suits or black-tie.

  • How do we register for the Gala?

    The registration will be available in CampusGroups. Register here.

  • Will there be food and drinks served at the Gala?

    Enjoy a dinner reception and open bar/beverages. Most food sensitivities will be accommodated.

  • Is parking available at the Field Museum? What if a guest has mobility restrictions?

    Yes, parking is available at the Soldier Field customer parking garage for a fee.
